Profile

Chao Song

director. editor. cinematographer.

Chao Song is a Boston-based filmmaker studying Communication and Media Studies with a minor in Film Studies at Northeastern University, with graduation expected in May 2027.

As a Media Manager, Videographer, and Editor at NUTV, Chao films campus news, student interviews, community stories, and sports for YouTube and Instagram. The work spans editing, color correction and grading, studio cameras, live broadcast assets, and news and sports scripts.

Previously, Chao supported two exhibitions and digitized more than 300 collection records at Mills College Art Museum. Earlier media work includes leading a school broadcasting station in Shenzhen and creating a Chengdu promotional video that reached 15,000 views in three days.
